Overview

The Consumer Rights Education and Awareness Trust [CREAT] was founded in December 1993 as Vijayanagar Consumer Education Society. It was inaugurated on 25th December 1993 by Mrs.Hemalatha Mahishi, a prominent advocate and Kannada writer at Bharatiya Vidya Peetha, Vijayanagar, Bengaluru. The first board of trustees included Mr.Y.G.Muralidharan, Mr. N.Gurumurthy, Mrs.Sakuntala Narasimhan and other prominent persons. It was registered in July 1994 at the Office of the Sub-Registrar, Vijayanagar as CREAT.
